lyrics
Lucy you know I'll love you
Lucy you know I'll care
But I can't bare the weight of the world on my shoulders
She's overthinking
My home is sinking
So long.
I know that the world is slowly getting colder
But something in the way you give me the cold shoulder
Says I know that the world is slowly getting colder
But we'll both know what to do
On a blue lagoon.
Surrounded by rhododendron
Crowned in a head of curls
We'll carry your light with us girl 'til we're frozen
Creatures are crawling
My life is calling
For you.
I know that the world is slowly getting colder
But something in the way you give me the cold shoulder
Says I know that the world is slowly getting colder
But we'll both know what to do
On a blue lagoon.
The Mary Wallopers are one of the finests bands from the actual Irish folk scene. Playing traditional tunes with great talent and a sophisticated sense of humor ;)
I hope to be able to see them live, on a stage or on a session as soon as possible ! mael_true_x
This is absolute genius. Each song has its own unique mood, but what they all have in common is that they take their time, allowing the lush, patient, dazzlingly imaginative arrangements to gradually blossom. There are a dizzying variety of instrumental textures, pleasure and wonderment around every turn. I'm getting hints of Will Oldham circa "Arise Therefore," though that album is much more spare. Proof that "experimental" doesn't necessarily mean noisy. Joe Madden
